Sally Hazlett Studio is just me, Sally, a self-taught painter in Austin, Texas. I paint flowers mostly, irises, peonies, water lilies and succulents, in acrylic and mixed media on canvas, with the occasional landscape or abstract. Every piece is an original, one of a kind, and it ships from my studio to your wall. Five years in, and I still paint every single day for the joy of it.

Late To The Brush
I did not plan to be a painter. I started five years ago, during a hard stretch of life, because I needed somewhere to put my hands and my attention. It turned out to be the thing I love most in the world. I am old now, which I consider a piece of good fortune, and these paintings are what I have to show for it.
From My Hands To Your Wall
Once you have picked a painting, the rest is simple. Tell me where it is going and I will work out the shipping. I pack every piece myself, because I am not handing a painting I made by hand to a stranger with a roll of tape. Ask me anything before you decide, including how a color might sit in the light of your room.
Straight From Memory
Nothing here is copied from a photograph. My work come out of imagination and whatever I remember.
Painted Daily
I paint every day. Not for a deadline and not for a gallery, just because it is the best part of my day.
Not Just For Decor
I do not paint to match a sofa. If a color feels right to me, it goes on the canvas.
Only One Of Each
Every painting I make is a one-off. No prints, no editions, no second copy sitting in a warehouse somewhere. If you like one, that is the only one there is. Sizes and prices vary quite a bit, so the easiest thing is to ask me about whichever piece caught your eye and I will tell you everything, including what it costs to ship it to you.
